COMPREHENSIVE COMMUNITY BASED REHABILITATION IN TANZANIA (CCBRT) 2022

Comprehensive Community Based Rehabilitation in Tanzania (CCBRT) aims to be the leading provider of accessible specialized health services in Africa and serves as healthcare social enterprise and through development programs the community and the most vulnerable. Committed to preventing lifelong disabilities wherever possible, CCBRT is also engaged in extensive maternal and newborn healthcare (MNHC) activities including obstetric fistula repairs and is currently operation ling its Maternity and Newborn Wing.

In order to strengthen our Outpatient Department services in line with our expansion of services,
we are looking for dedicated Medical Attendants who are eager to accept
an volunteer placement for 3 months.

THE ROLE

As a volunteer, you will be providing based nursing care and patient support, whereby you ensure that patients and relatives are directed accordingly and patients’ dignity is maintained at all times. You assist in the preparations of the patient before the patient sees the doctor or goes to consulting rooms/ theatre, you communicate with doctors and other staff effectively and ensure efficient workflow and you assist in control of the patients’ flow in the clinical area. You transport patients, equipment and supplies between units and verify and transport specimens. Furthermore, you will participate in a shift system which include nights and weekends.
During this placement, the candidate will be assessed for potential future job openings.


The candidate
· Form 4 certificate plus one year basic nursing training from a government recognized institution
· A minimum of 3 years of working experience
· Computer literate
· Good communication skills in English and Swahili
· Flexibility
· Multitasking
· Team-worker with client focus
· A pro-active attitude and eagerness to work
